How do I get Tivo to update without killing my internet connection?
When Tivo updates at my home, I lose my internet connection. I have a wireless connection setup and the network continues to work just fine, but the connection to the internet disappears. It is extremely frustrating because I have an online class and it is sucks to lose your internet connection in the middle of an online quiz. I have AT&T high speed internet using DSL. Also, when it updates I lose the phone line too and I can’t receive any calls or make any outgoing calls. I’m this close to unplugging the bi***.

Setting up a wireless router – router not receiving signal from modem?
I’m setting up a wireless network for a laptop and two tivo’s with a Belkin router, and cable provided high speed internet service. I have everything set up correctly, ran the installation discs on both the internet service and the router – but the internet signal is not being picked up by the router. If I plug my computer to the modem, there is a signal. If I plug it to the router (and either plug from the router to my computer or try wireless) there is no signal. I tried to connect with my Tivo, and it said that the internet connection can not be found. I’ve already spent hours on the phone with IT, and no solution has been found – if anyone has a similar situation they resolved, or advice, I’d appreciate it!

My wireless router is not working at home. I just bought a digital baby monitor. Could that be the reason?
The wireless router is in the personnel and is wirelessly connected to our desktop computer, two laptops, and the Tivo series 2. The digital baby monitor is in the nursery, about 25 feet (and two walls) from the router. The router is a Linksys router, and sits on the floor next to my Comcast cable modem. Because the wireless router is not working, we have no internet connection, nor can we watch TV (through our TV) We’ve called Comcast manifold times but they tell us its our router. We’re getting to the end of our rope!
