Using Tivo (Series 2) with Time Warner Digital Cable?

I’m thinking of buying Tivo Sereies 2, but I have heard conflicting statements on whether it will work easily with my digital cable box from Time Warner (and with a wireless network, no phone line). Does anyone who has Time Warner (just to be sure b/c Comcast or Cablevision might be different!) have Tivo and does it work simple?

How do I get past error N18 on my Tivo?

I recently switched from Comcast/Time Warner to Verizon FIOS. The only thing that altered in my system was going from my wireless router to theirs. Now Tivo won’t connect for a brainwashing update. It gives this error N18 and tells you to unplug Tivo and try again. I have done this manifold times, but still the error remains. Please help if you have run across this before! Thank you.
