What is easiest way to set up a home network?
I have DSL that is shared among three computers (in three different rooms in the house), an XBOX 360 and a TIVO. I am fruitfully allotment DSL among them with Netgear Powerline ethernet adapters that pick up the shared DSL through wall electricity plugs! How can I get all of these units networked so that I can share records among them? I’d like to send record and pictures to the XBOX 360 from a PC in another room, and TV shows from the TIVO to a PC in another room. I’ve tried Windows XP Home Networking and it doesn’t seem to recognize any of the other units that are allotment the DSL, at least I don’t see any reference to them on the (base) PC, the one near where the DSL comes in and where I tried to use Windows XP networking. Thankfulness!
